Calgary Beach Volleyball Club
2009 marked the beginning of the Calgary Beach Volleyball Club started here at the Volleydome. Designed to train young competitive athletes at the highest level for success on the beach and on the hardcourt, the CBVC offers practices designed for long-term player development with individual coach attention from athletes who have played at the highest levels both provincially and nationally.
CBVC 2012
The Calgary Beach Volleyball Club is happy to announce that the club will be up and running for the summer of 2012. After three highly successful summers Calgarians Art O'Dwyer and Ed O'Dwyer are looking forward to training the best youth beach volleyball athletes Calgary and area has to offer at the Volleydome this upcoming spring and summer.
For the 2012 Beach season they will offer two levels of programs for Bantam, Midget, and Juvinile boys and girls.
Level 1: Train 2 times per week.
Level 2: Train 3-4 times per week with coaching at AVA beach tournaments.
Both levels include practices designed to fit into a long term player development scheme and individual attention from coaches who have played at the highest levels provincially and nationally. They require athletes who are ready to commit to hard work in order to maximize their volleyball potential.
Costs:
Level 1 $400 per athlete.
Level 2 $800 per athlete.
Training will begin June 4th and run through the AVA provincial tournament, held the first week of August. Training will take place on the Volleydome beach courts.
• June training will be for 2 hours Monday through Friday after school.
• July training will be for 2.5 hours Monday through Friday during the day.
Specific training times for each group will be set closer to the season.
