Updated on 2011-10-13 14:31:06When Ben told me he wanted to start a blog I expected the first one to be about chasing the dream or something like that because I know he has been waiting for this time and thinking about it since the summer of 2003 when he first went to California as a 14 year old novice beach player. He has been getting steadily more into it for the past few years, but this year he begins as a full time beach pro representing Canada internationally. I'm sure it will be an interesting year for all of us to hear about.
Nice beach resorts, beautiful beach babes, big money wins??
More likely some airports, some nagging hurts, and hopefully some gradual progress.

Burnside/Pexman win Bronze

Congratulations to Stephanie Burnside and Kate Pexman who finished third at Beach Nationals. Kate and Steph lost only one match all weekend to the Ontario team that went on to win Gold.
2011 BEACH PROGRAMS
Updated on 2011-10-13 14:30:30The beach season for youth starts this year with the BURN'Z BEACH Ice Breaker Camp/Tournament on the week-end of May 28-29, 2011. Then there are two regular programs that begin immediately after on the Volleydome beach courts.
The CBVC (Calgary Beach Volleyball Club) and the Burn'z Beach programs both start on Monday May 30 and continue through June and July. For information about the Ice Breaker and about the two different youth programs please visit the CBVC or Burn'z Beach pages.
