Dome Club
The Dome Club began in the fall of 2009 as a way for all those graduates of Volleyball Academy who have developed some good basic skills and a love of the game and want to continue to play and improve, but don't necessarily want to commit to the time and cost of the "elite" clubs in Calgary. With Dome Club, there are no special invitations or tryouts and costs are kept to a minimum by playing in local tournaments (mostly here at the Dome). Please note that the emphasis of the Dome Club is on learning, fun, and development as part of a team - winning will not be a priority.
Registrants will be assessed and then assigned to teams of about 8 or 9 equivalent level players and they will practice and play regularly with another team and coach of 8 or 9 similar level players on the same court. The purpose of organizing like this is to generally get at least 6 per side at practices and be able to play in game situations with maximized use of courts and playing time for all involved. Dome tournaments will be included in the price of the registration, but once teams are formed they may also choose to enter in other local tournaments at their own extra expense.
Included in the Dome Club price will be a uniform with a number that can be used as a top for any outside tournaments.

Fall 2012 Dome Club
Dome Club is back in the Fall of 2012 with 5 different groupings as follows:
DC1 born in '96-'98. Practice/play Sat. 6:45 - 8:15 and Mon. 4:45 - 6:15
DC2 born in '97-'99. Practice Sundays noon - 1:30 and Tues. 4:45 - 6:15
DC3 born in '97-'99. Practice Sundays noon - 1:30 and Wed. 4:45 - 6:15
DC4 born in '99-2000. Practice Sundays 1:30 - 3:00 and Fri. 5:15 - 6:45
DC5 born in '96-'98. Practice Sundays 10:30 - noon and Fri. 6:45 - 8:15
There will also be the usual 3 tournament dates on Oct. 6, Nov. 3 and Nov. 24.
You can register by clicking on the ONLINE REGISTRATION link to the right of our Youth page or you can download a registration form there and send it into us by fax, mail, or email. You can also fill out the form anytime at the Volleydome. Please be aware that this program usually fills so the sooner you get your registration form in the more likely it is that you will get to play in Dome Club.
Spring Dome Club 2012
This is an alternative to normal club team programs with less traveling and less cost and no try-outs.
This spring we will continue with 3 Dome Club groupings: 2 on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons and 1 on Saturday evenings and Mondays after school: All athletes will have regular 1.5 hour practice/play times twice per week. They also play in three of the always popular Dome Club tourneys. Cost for this session will be $261.
Group 1 practices from 6:45 to 8:15 on Saturdays and 4:45 to 6:15 on Mondays
Group 2 practices from 5:30 to 7:00 on Fridays and 1:30 to 3:00 on Sundays
Group 3 practices from 7:00 to 8:30 on Fridays and 3:00 to 4:30 on Sundays
Tournaments will be May 5, June 2, and June 23.

We will begin advertising for FAll DOME CLUB by about the start of May (after the April Dome Club gets organized). Thanks to all for making this program so successful!
