Rally Pointe has challenged the top Volleydome Co-ed teams to a tournament this spring - the Calgary Co-Ed League Challenge.
The tournament will be held Saturday, March 24 at the Rally Pointe and hopefully will include all the top ranked teams from both facilities in two divisions (Competitive division and Intermediate division). On February 20th both facilites will take their rankings for all league nights and start inviting the top teams from each league to represent them at the Co-Ed Challenge Tournament. 16 teams will represent the Volleydome vs 16 teams from Rally Pointe. Top teams from the Sunday league, Tuesday HC and Thursday HC will be invited for the Competitive division while leaders in the Monday, Wednesday and beach leagues will be asked to represent the Dome in the Intermediate Division. City Wide bragging rights are at stake so start working your way to the top of your league so you can claim a little glory for Volleydome teams on March 24.
Tournament entry fee will be $100 and there will be prizes and lots of recognition for the teams that do us all proud. If all goes well with this tournament it will probably become a home and away event with the Volleydome hosting the next Challenge sometime during our next fall season - hopefully we can start a tradition of great competition between the two facilities and find out who rules this city.
