Looks like our Volleydome teams need some practice !
The results of the first Co-ed Challenge are in and Rally Pointe has won the Cup by a rather embarrassing score of 106 to 22. The points were based upon 1 point for each round robin win, 2 points for quarter final wins, 4 points for semi final wins, 6 points for 3rd place finishes, 8 points for 2nd and 10 points for 1st. The best that the Volleydome could muster was a fourth place finish in the Competitive division by Moscow Circus (our lone entry from our Thursday night league) and a fourth place finish in the Intermediate Division by Dig This (which is in our Wednesday night league). Thanks to all teams that played on behalf of the Dome - according to the tournament organizer "there was a great spirit of play from all teams and they really seemd to enjoy playing against some unfamiliar faces".
We will be hosting a similar tournament next fall (probably in November) where we hope our teams will do a little better on their home turf or at least have a lot of fun trying.
