Updates for Dome Club as of Oct 15, 2020:
Dome Club Beach will be continuing into the Winter. With the news of the beach courts remaining and indoor beach courts returning at the Dome location (2825 24th ave), we can continue to offer Dome Club Beach and Mini Dome Club Beach programs which will offer Winter session starting in January.
Our Capacity is currently limited, so there will only be a few spots available for each group. We will expand age groups as we are able if it is deemed safe to do so by September.
Up to date COVID-19 protocols for the Dome Club programs will be sent out with program reminders about a week before the programs begin.
Dome Club Beach Age Range: 11 to 14
Dome Club Beach is a new program offered at the Dome location for graduates of Mini Dome Club to continue to play and improve. Recommended for any and all athletes who have basic volleyball skills and a love of the game, and want to try out the beach game, but aren't necessarily looking to commit to the time and cost of an "elite" club team. With Dome Club Beach, there are no special invitations or tryouts, and costs are kept to a minimum by playing in informal in-house tournaments (mostly here at the Dome). Please note that Dome Club Beach is a recreational program with an emphasis on learning, fun, and development as part of a team - winning will not be a priority.
Registrants will be assigned to practice groups of about 11 to 13 with players of a similar age, and split into teams of 4 to 6 for tournament and scrimmage days. Dome tournaments will be included in the price of the registration.

Mini Dome Club Beach Range: Grades 4-7
Mini Dome Club was introduced by the Volleydome in 2004 and it became an overnight success with its purpose of teaching kids the skills of the game in a less competitive environment. We are now also bringing Mini Dome Club to the Beach courts at the Dome location. Each session includes PlayDays with modified games, working towards full game play by the end of the session. Our motto from the beginning has been:
Have Fun, Learn the Skills, Love the Game.
Mini DC is run in the Fall, Winter and Spring. It is an excellent introductory program for young beach volleyball athletes to learn the beach game, and will also help those aspiring to enter junior high school teams or eventually join team programs like Dome Club (Recreational)or Canuck Stuff Club (Competitive).
Players that have already gone through Mini Dome Club (or played the sport in school)and still want toplay on the sand should probably opt to play in our Dome Club Beach program (above) which has continuous start dates throughout the year.

Dome Club Beach Winter 2021
Winter Dome Club Beach - REGISTRATION OPEN
Winter Dome Club Beach will begin in January with groups for those born 2006-2009. Registration for all groups will open as of Oct. 15 and can be completed online at www.volleydome.net.
Changes to note for Winter (subject to change):

Spaces are limited due to the number of indoor beach courts at the DOME location and current COVID-19 guidelines. We will not be able to accommodate as many athletes as usual at each age group so please register early to avoid disappointment.

Practice groups will have a maximum of 24 kids (on 2 courts with 1 coach for every 8-10 kids).

In lieu of tournament days we will have scrimmage/gameplay days where training groups will play amongst themselves.

For the remainder of Stage 2 there will be no spectators for practices or gameplay days. We are limited to 50 on our side of the building and every spectator takes the place of a participant.

Costs include all Gameplay days.

Refund Policy:
All camps include a $20 non-refundable deposit which covers payment fees and administration.
Withdrawals are accepted up until the third practice with a $10 fee for each practice that has passed. No refunds after the third practice except in the case of injury or sickness with a doctors note.
In the case of closures due to COVID we are no longer able to return the deposit amount ($20), but will do our best to reschedule sessions.
