MVP Beach Volleyball
MVP Calgary Beach Volleyball Club
The MVP Beach Club was designed as an option for top indoor female players U14-U18 who are interested in playing Beach Volleyball to help them improve their indoor game. Beach Volleyball has been shown to improve physical conditioning, ball control, mental toughness, improve weaker skills, court awareness all in a fun and relaxed environment. Our schedule is designed to optimize good weather and is flexible. You are able to sign up for days and times that work for you, and we can work around holidays or provincial team schedules with a pro-rated cost. All members have a "first choice partner" but are encouraged to train with us or play in AVA's with back up partners if their partner is unavailable.
Head Coach: Joanna Korzeniewski
25 years experience coaching Beach Volleyball including Alberta/BC Summer Games and BC Provincial Teams. Alberta Volleyball Coach for Alberta Summer and Winter Games, Rundle College and Canuck (2015-present). Played for 5 years on the UBC Varsity Volleyball Team, Professionally in Spain and Portugal and was ranked top 9 in Canada for Women's Open Beach Doubles.
Average 8 per court, 16 per session
Level A - $384
Players choose eight 2 hour sessions between May and September
Players receive a MVP tank top
Level B - $768
Players choose sixteen 2 hour sessions between May and September
Players receive a MVP Lululemon Sports Bra
There will be 8 tournaments for Club members. Players are also encourage to play in local AVA's and Provincial tournaments.

Cliff Haaf Grant 2019:
Cliff Haaf was a wonderful dad with 3 children who all played volleyball for the BC Provincial Team and at the University level. He was always supportive and taught his children the meaning of teamwork. MVP is honoured to have a grant in his name to support young athletes with dreams of higher level success in volleyball.
Recipients will be chosen based on points earned as follows:
MVP Club member in past year - 5 points
"Higher than club level" indoor volleyball team - 5 points
MVP Elite or "higher than club level" beach team - 5 points
Indoor Club Provincial medalist - 2 points
Beach Provincial level medalist - 2 each
MVP Queen of the Beach winner - 2 points
Post secondary indoor or beach contract signed - 5 points
MVP member prior to 2018 - 2 each year
Coach for MVP atomic - up to 5 based on amount attended
To be considered for this opportunity, please contact MVP volleyball via email - include a calculation of your points. Verification will be need, you can provide this in the application or once you are selected. Amount awarded will be from $100 to $500 and in line with points - minimum of 15 needed to be considered.
This grant can be used for Advanced training sessions with MVP.
